Attach Files to Form Submissions
Great news! A long-standing feature request has finally been fulfilled. This one warms my heart. ๐
The new form builder now supports uploading/attaching files!
As of this writing, the new form builder is still in beta testing. If you would like access please email your Customer Success Manager at support@paminga.com.
I'm telling you now... it's hot shit. ๐
Adding a File Upload Element To Your Formโ
"File Upload" is just another of the dozens of elements that you can choose to add to your forms.
If you type "file" in the "Add a New Element" popup, you'll find this new element immediately.
Adding a File Upload Element
File Upload Element As It Appears In Your Form:
Customizing the File Upload Elementโ
You may customize the:
- Field Label: by default, it says "Drag and Drop Files Here"
- Button Label: by default, it says "Browse Files for Upload"
Both of these labels may be internationalized if you are publishing your form in multiple languages.
Available Validation Rulesโ
- Required: You may make this a "required field" such that your prospect may not submit your form without attaching a file
- Minimum Number of Files: pretty self-explanatory
- Maximum Number of Files: same here. I think you've got it
Viewing Files Attached to Form Submissionsโ
There are a few places where you can see the files attached in form submissions:
- The "Form Submissions" table associated with form includes a "Submission Values" column. Uploaded files appear there
- The Activity Stream entry associated with the form submission
- The Lead/Contact Detail page for the person that submitted your form
Files Associated with Leads/Contactsโ
When viewing the Lead/Contact Detail screen, you'll see a new "Files" tab at the upper right.
Any files that have been uploaded via form submissions will appear here AND...
...you can attach files to any lead/contact as you wish. ๐
Also pretty cool, the files are stored in and exposed via the Paminga File Manager โ so you can create folders and use the file manager in assocation with your lead/contact just as you do elsewhere.
