Form Elements
The Form Builder offers dozens of elements that may add to your forms.
- Dozens of Form Fields. Some examples:
- Contact fields like First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Email Address
- Date and DateTime Fields
- Common Elements available in the Form, Email, Landing Page, and CTA Builders:
- Images
- Headings and paragraphs
- Social Sharing icons
- Compositions like:
- Event Listing
- Featured Products
- Article Grid/Listing
Elements are a feature that is common to all of Paminga's Asset Builders: CTAs, Forms, Landing Pages, and Emails.
Field Hints
Most form fields offer an optional Hint: a line of smaller text that sits beneath the field. It's the right place for light instructions — "We'll only use this to confirm your registration," or "Use the email address you registered with."
Add one by typing into the Hint box (labelled Helper Text in some accounts) in the field's settings, directly below the Field Label (and Field Placeholder, where the field has one).
- If the field has a validation error, the error message temporarily takes the Hint's place. Once the visitor corrects the field, the Hint comes back.
- Hints are translated along with the rest of your form's text.
- Hint font, size, and color come from the Helper Text settings in your Brand Kit, and you may override them in your form's Styles.
- Hints are not shown when your form uses Use Styles from My Site, which renders plain HTML fields that take their look from your website. Sliders are the exception: they keep their own look, hint included.
Hints are available on text, email, phone, number, currency, date, date/time, and drop-down style fields (including Radio Button Groups and Sliders). They are not offered on Checkboxes, Checkbox Groups, Yes / No, star Ratings, File Uploads, Matching Fields, or Hidden Fields.
